Ashton had been sat on the same tuft for about three hours now, doing nothing... His mind was now in over-drive, today was the day. After, years and years of missery, he was ifnally off to do what he wanted, he didn't have to do what anyone else said... Not a parent, not a teacher, not a neighbour. Rising slowly from the ground, he muttered to himself and threw a small cigarette onto the ground and stood on it. That was a horrible habbit, he should really give it up... Ashton's mind had narrowed the choices, he wasn't a big thinker but this decision required a lot of thought... He was almost certain that he would pick a fire pokemon but there was wriggle room... He didn't want any of the "originals", he wanted a nice one that he could pick... But he had a few choices printed into his mind. He seemed to like Eevees and thought it would be cool to have the first six eevees in his party. Eevee, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon and Umbreon... That would be good. |

It took a few minutes before a short, young looking female wearing a white coat opened the door. She blinked a moment and then smiled wildely. "Hiya! You must be here for your first pokemon!" Sne said as she then side stepped so then she was out of the way, looking around the sort of messy lab room at the time she half smiled and then rubbed the back of her neck for a minute. Before she then pushed her glasses back up her nose, "Did you know as to which pokemon it was that you wanted to get?" She then questioned as she walked towards the back of the room, as she then began to pull together the items that would then be given to the other male at this time.

Ashton walked into the slightly messy lab with a short type smile on his face. He had been thinking about it quite a lot but still had not settled to one pokemon... I don't know... He told himself... He didn't really want a fire pokemon anymore either... He now wanted a normal pokemon, they weren't anyone's favourites... He liked being different, and normal pokemon had different moves... His mind was still stammering and thinking greatly but he was leaning towards asking for a Munchlax but stopped himself quickly. He then froze onto the spot before looking around him. This was the decision, this decision could make him or break him... He couldn't just pick something from the top of his head... So instead of specifying the ones that he would not mind, he said... "Not really, I am quite strong, fairly quiet, and can get annoyed quite easily, do you know any pokemon that would suit my personality?" |

The female had to think about it, well, she wasn't all that sure. It really did depend on what the pokemon was like overall. She thought about it for another moment before then handing the starter pack over to Ashton. "Well, what sort of pokemon do you like? If there are any that aren't to rare that you prefer?" She then asked with a bit of a tilted head out of curiousity. Now there was just a bit of a habit of hers, she had always been curious about the pokemon that the new trainers would choose, sometimes she thought that the pokemon they chose sort of showed who it was that they really were, or who it was that they could become. Whether it would be making them stronger and make them stand out more, or if it would be something that would help them calm down, and teach them to not be so egotistic, and to look out for those other then themselves.

Ashton stared at his feet through all of this, he didn't actually know what type of pokemon he liked... It was strange, most people knew the type or atleast types that they wanted to have but he was just strange... Firtst he wanted grass pokemon, they seemed to be safe and helpful but then realised they were normally very smart, which he wasn't... He then wanted a water pokemon but found out that he couldn't swim, so that flew out of th window. Then it was fire, strong... But they had just stopped appealing to him... Picking an odd type off of the top of his head, Ashton rosehis head to say, "Uhmmm, probably ground..." This was totally random but after Ashton had thought of it for a moment he realised that it was probably his best chance... He didn't like swimming or flying, and ground was always there and strong... His mind flicked away from his father for a second and to a pokemon that he knew... "Do you have any Gibles?" Ashton asked with a hopeful experession. He realised that these did seem to be quite rare but Ashton really wanted one... They always seemed to be strong and helpful, the perfect pokemon, right? |

The female had to think about the question, or rather which pokemon it was that he had just requested for, she knew they had at least one, but whether or not she wanted to give it to him right then and there, was another question. Looking him over, sort of just studying him to see if he would really be the right sort of person that would have to do with all of this, with a pokemon such as the one that he had wanted. After another brief moment of silence the smile then returned to her features and nodded, "Yeah, we do have one I believe." She said and then slipped back into the back, rumaging through a few things and returned after a couple more minutes with the pokeball in hand with the pokemon in it.

Ashton stopped looking at his feet for a change and stared up showing big expressive eyes, "Thankyou..." he smiled looking down at the small ground/dragon type pokemon, it was known to be very rare and didn't seem to fit in with looking like either a ground pokemon or dragon, to be honest he actually looked like a shark, but, what shark do you know that can use dragon claw? Taking the pokeball and starter pack, Ashton smiled thanking the assistant and turning his back to the assistant and the lab... He was off to start a journey!
OOC;; Gible is a dragon/earth pokemon from Sinnoh, it looks like a little blue shark and is very cool! |
